The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has completed the first 20 months of implementation of the EU-funded project “Reinforcing the Capacities of the Government of Georgia in Border and Migration Management” (More for More). The overarching objective of this project is to assist the Georgian authorities in implementing the Visa Liberalization Action Plan and in dealing with the challenges posed by the management of borders and migration flows. Highlights of the past 6 months include the further development of risk analysis capacities of the Ministry of Internal Aairs (MIA) and the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance through study tours to EU Member States, deployment of EU experts to Georgia and engagement on document fraud and identity management with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Public Service Development Agency (PSDA) of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Aairs.
