Polish Expert Conducts Training of Trainers on Risk Analysis

Under the EU-funded More for More project IOM has invested significantly in supporting the development of the Risk Analysis Unit at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior. 

Karol Turzyński made his fourth visit under the project in February 2017 to provide a Training of Trainers course for selected officers from the Ministry of Interior.  Representatives attending the two-week course came from the Info-Analytical Department of the Ministry of Interior, the Border Police, the Patrol Police and the Academy of the Ministry of Interior. 

Topics in week one included the Risk Analysis Model, Data Flows in Border Management, Operational Risk Analysis and Strategic Risk Analysis.  Week two covered Analysis and Reporting Techniques.  In launching the training course Ms. Tatia Salukvadze, from the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior, welcomed the course as an important step towards the development of a comprehensive curriculum in this developing approach to tackling the challenges of border management.  She also took time to welcome Lieutenant Commander Turzyński expressing the gratitude of the Ministry for his vital ongoing support.
